HOW TO WORK WITH YOUR SOUL TO KNOW WHAT FOODS ARE MOST LOVING FOR YOUR BODY

The journey of integrating multiple healing modalities into my practice has been a transformational one, both for myself and my clients. Initially, traditional therapy seemed to plateau at a certain point, unable to address the deeper layers of my being. This realization was mirrored in my clients' experiences, who often found themselves stuck despite their efforts. Over time, my exploration into various disciplines—psychotherapy, neuroscience, nutrition, integrative medicine, and ancient mind-body-soul teachings—revealed that a holistic approach was essential for true healing and growth. By combining these diverse fields, I developed an integrative method that supports clients willing to embrace a multi-faceted approach to wellness.

Central to this approach is the framework of the four layers: mind, emotion, body, and soul. It's evident that focusing on just one or two of these layers can be limiting. For example, cultivating a positive mindset and engaging in spiritual practices are beneficial, but ignoring physical pains or chronic emotional states can hinder progress. As a psychotherapist, I was trained to listen to my clients' narratives, but my trauma-informed practice taught me that the body often holds deeper truths. The mind can be a complex web of truths, lies, and stories, making it unreliable as the sole focus of therapy. Additionally, metaphysical anatomy has shown that emotions can manifest as physical dis-ease or chronic mental health issues, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach.

My personal healing journey and professional practice reached new heights when I embraced the soul aspect. Working with a business coach who was also a former somatic therapist, I was introduced to the concept of the four layers. This realization was a powerful "aha" moment, highlighting the necessity of acknowledging and integrating all aspects of our being. The quantum shifts I experienced by expanding my awareness to operate in all four layers underscored the importance of this holistic approach. It became clear that only by addressing the mind, emotions, body, and soul together can we truly thrive and unlock our full potential.

Embracing your "woo woo" side when it comes to interacting with your body can be a transformative and enlightening experience. One effective practice that helps move societal distortions about food out of the way involves the use of a pendulum, your body, and a curious, willing mind. This method allows you to tap into your inner wisdom and establish a deeper soul connection that is both fun and creative. Here's how you can incorporate this practice into your daily routine:

First, find a quiet space where you can relax and focus without interruption. Sit comfortably with your pendulum in hand. A pendulum can be anything with some weight attached to a string or chain, such as a crystal or a metal pendant. Begin by grounding yourself through a few deep breaths, allowing your mind to clear and your body to relax. Once you feel centered, hold the pendulum steady and ask it to show you a "yes" response. Typically, the pendulum will start to move in a specific direction, such as back and forth or in a circular motion. Next, ask it to show you a "no" response and observe the movement.

With your pendulum responses established, you can now ask it questions related to your food choices and body interactions. For example, you might ask, "Is this food beneficial for my body right now?" or "Will eating this help me feel more energized?" Trust the pendulum's responses as they reflect your intuitive guidance. This practice helps you bypass societal distortions and tap into your authentic needs and desires. Remember, the key to this process is maintaining a curious and open mind, allowing new information and insights to flow in. By integrating this practice into your routine, you can foster a deeper connection with your body and make choices that align with your soul's wisdom

I like to use my pendulum by using the energetic field of my heart. By holding the pendulum close to your heart, you are tapping into the largest energetic center in the human body, often referred to as the heart chakra. This method can help maximize your connection not only to the food or supplement you are testing but also to your own body and the source energy that flows through you. It's a practice that can bring a deeper understanding of how certain foods or supplements resonate with your individual energy field.

For those who are curious about trying this practice, it's important to approach it with an open mind and a sense of curiosity. Hold the pendulum in your dominant hand, and place the food or supplement between your breasts, near your heart. Observe the movement of the pendulum, as it can provide insights into how the item interacts with your energy. Some might notice the pendulum swinging in a particular direction, which can be interpreted as a positive or negative response depending on your established understanding state above.
